Zepter’s success story started two decades ago in 1986 when the company was founded, with its headquarters in Linz, Austria, and the first production plant in Milan, Italy, which manufactured the top-quality Masterpiece Cookware and artistic Table Decorations. Masterpiece Cookware is still synonymous worldwide with unequivocal and long-lasting value, so this modern factory - Menfi Industria in Milan, with a production capacity of more than 1,000,000 units per year, has also become the heartland as well as the birthplace of the Zepter Empire with its 24,000 m2 of business space.
In 1996, the Zepter Group branched out into the market of medical devices. The purchase of the Swiss-based company, Bioptron AG, marked Zepter’s revolutionary entry into the business of light therapy.
And again, it was a continuous success
There are more than 2,000,000 satisfied owners of BIOPTRON Light Therapy System, making this one of Zepter’s best-known products, recognised worldwide. Many of the world’s top rehabilitation clinics use BIOPTRON Light as their standard medical procedure. In the same year, the Swiss company, Intercosmetica Neuchâtel SA, was incorporated into the Zepter Group. After significant investments in the production facilities and in research and development, the production lines and a new biotechnology laboratory were established. Production capacity was doubled, and the production focused just on top-class cosmetics. With excellent products, an educated and committed Zepter sales network, and a global trademark, the doors of the cosmetics market were opened to Zepter Cosmetics.
Today, Intercosmetica Neuchâtel SA produces an average of 5,000,000 products a year, and Zepter Cosmetics, in accordance with Zepter’s mission of health, offers the best products in the range of top-quality cosmetics in the world. Soon after this strategic investment, the company headquarters moved to Switzerland, and expansion into new markets and new technologies has continued.
